Financial Aid:

Financial aid is not available to international students. International students are advised to make enquiries from their Ministers of Education or Scholarship Offices at institutions in their country of origin.

Application fee and closing date : Applications for study in the first semester must be submitted by 15 August. And for the second semester by 30 April. A non-refundable application fee of R200 must be paid on submission of the form. No late applications will be accepted.

Fees: Full-time undergraduates

Applicants must ensure that they have sufficient money to meet all expenses while living in South Africa.

A breakdown of estimated costs are as follows:

• Tuition and residence fees.
• Tuition fees are charged by course on a semester basis and actual fees paid will depend on courses for which students registered. Please note that the prices listed are applicable to SADC countries, diplomats and postgraduates. All other students should pay thrice the amount.

Engineering R8 500-00 p.a.
Economic Sciences R7 000-00 p.a.
Information Sciences R8 000-00 p.a.
Art R7 000-00 p.a.
Health Sciences R7 000-00 p.a.
Agriculture, Horticulture and Nature Conservation R7 000-00 p.a.

• Other Technikon fees:
• Books and other study material (excluding computers, cameras, etc.) R3 000-00 p.a.
• Administrative cover charge R100-00 p.a.
• Accommodation plus meals , approximately R6 000-00 p.a.
• Medical insurance R1 458-00 p.a. (Single student)/ R2 585-00 p.a. (Student with   dependants)
• International student association R100-00 p.a.
• Pocket money R5 000-00 p.a.
• Fees: Full-time postgraduate
• Masters R6 000 p.a.
• Doctorate R7 000 p.a.
